1月26日、Robo Co-opはワシントンD.C.にて、政策立案者、研究者、実務家、国際開発分野の専門家を迎え、AIワークショップを開催しました。本ワークショップでは、AIを仕事や学習、そして社会的インパクト創出にどのように実践的に活用できるかを探りました。 

◆主な議論テーマ 
セッションでは、以下のテーマを中心に議論を行いました。 

• ▫非エンジニアが日常業務で生成AIを活用する方法 

• ▫プロンプトエンジニアリングを技術ではなく「コミュニケーションスキル」として捉える視点 

• ▫リサーチ、戦略立案、オペレーション、研修分野における実践的ユースケース 

▫AIが価値を発揮する領域と、人間の判断が依然として重要な領域 

◆「AIは人を置き換えない」という共通認識 
特に印象的だったのは、「AIは人を置き換えるものではない」という共通認識でした。 
AIの本質は、人を代替することではなく、スキル、生産性、そして機会へのアクセスの障壁を下げることにあります。 

◆包摂的イノベーションの現場から 
Robo Co-opでは、この変化を日々目の当たりにしています。 
難民、シングルマザー、そしてこれまで十分な機会を得られなかった人々が、適切なデジタルツールと支援にアクセスできれば、単に“追いつく”のではなく、グローバルなレベルで価値を生み出す存在となります。 

◆対話を継続する 

当日は大雪の影響によりオンライン開催へと切り替えましたが、議論は活発かつ率直で、非常に示唆に富むものとなりました。

On January 26, Robo Co-op hosted an AI workshop in Washington, D.C., bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and experts in international development. The workshop explored practical ways AI can be applied to work, learning, and the creation of social impact. 

◆Key Discussion Themes

• The session focused on several core themes: 

  • ▫How non-engineers can use generative AI in their daily work 
  • ▫Reframing prompt engineering not as a technical skill, but as a form of communication skill 
  • ▫Practical use cases across research, strategy development, operations, and training 
  • ▫Where AI delivers the greatest value — and where human judgment remains essential 

◆“AI Does Not Replace People” 

A particularly resonant point throughout the discussion was the shared recognition that AI is not designed to replace people. 

Its true potential lies in lowering barriers — to skills development, productivity, and access to opportunity. 

◆Inclusive Innovation in Practice 

At Robo Co-op, we witness this shift every day. 

Refugees, single mothers, and individuals who have historically faced limited access to opportunity, when equipped with the right digital tools and support, do not simply “catch up.” They generate value at a global level.

◆Continuing the Dialogue 

Due to heavy snowfall, the workshop transitioned to a fully virtual format. Nevertheless, the discussions remained dynamic, candid, and deeply insightful.
